The reviews keep rolling in

We’ve had some fantastic write-ups already for our new 2015 Blanc de Noirs, which we only released last month during English Wine Week. We absolutely love this wine as it is made exclusively from handpicked Pinot Noir grapes grown at our idyllic Roman Villa vineyard in West Sussex. It’s got a classic Pinot Noir personality showing pretty red fruit notes on the nose and a wonderful structure and depth of fruit on the palate. But, don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what some of the very best wine writers in the country have said about our new sparkling wine.

INDEPENDENT – 8 English sparkling wines to toast English Wine Week with, 20th June 2020:

“Roebuck’s Classic Cuvee 2014 won a gold in the WineGB awards last year and their latest release is the brilliant, elegantly bottled Blanc de Noirs 2015 made entirely from pinot noir grapes grown near the site of the ancient Roman villa at Petworth in West Sussex, which has really individual depth of rich, nutty, lingering flavours stemming from four years lees ageing in the bottle.”

VINOUS.COM, 8th July 2020:

“The 2015 Blanc de Noirs, made from 100% Pinot Noir, has a delightful nose of strawberry, orange blossom, white peach and a touch of rosehip, all very elegant and delineated. The palate is sharp on the entry, showing a touch of bitter lemon that combines well with the subtle red fruit elements of raspberry and strawberry. Delivering moderate weight and fine salinity toward the finish, overall this is a well-crafted Blanc de Noirs.”

“I loved the first wine (2014 Classic Cuvée) I tried from this estate last year. This is another mightily impressive bottle from a single vineyard of pinot noir in West Sussex – it is complex and intense with red fruits, cashews and poached pear.”

OBSERVER MAGAZINE, 2nd August 2020:

“Exciting new English sparkling wine release, Roebuck Estates Blanc de Noirs, has the kind of bakery shop richness you find in fuller-flavoured Champagnes such as Pol Roger or Bollinger, with that distinctive fine-line acidity that marks out all the best English fizz.”
