A limited Roebuck release
We are very excited to release our new 2016 Rosé de Noirs which is the latest addition to our collection and our debut sparkling rosé. Crafted from the finest handpicked Pinot Noir grapes grown at our idyllic Roman Villa vineyard in West Sussex, our Rosé de Noirs has a pretty, delicate pink hue and is bursting with fragrant notes of wild strawberries, white peach and honeysuckle. It is a wonderfully balanced wine with a bright acidity, elegant bubbles, and a long, persistent length.
2016 was a growing season that took a while to really get going but by mid-July the warmer weather kicked in and the sunshine continued almost unabated until harvest. Carefully hand-harvested bunches of only the finest fruit were gently whole-bunch pressed and partially fermented in Burgundian oak barrels followed by a minimum of three years lees-ageing in bottle. A splash (around 5%) of still red wine crafted from Pinot Précoce grapes was added prior to release imparting a pretty, pink colour and attractive wild berry notes on this wine.
We produced a very limited amount of only 2000 bottles of this debut rosé, which is now available to buy by the bottle and case through our online shop. It is the perfect English sparkling wine to share with family and friends all year round.
