Triumphant in the UK wine competitions
We were thrilled to recently discover that our 2013 Classic Cuvée had won not one, but two silver medals in prestigious UK wine competitions. Our flagship wine received 92 points and a silver medal in both the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) and International Wine and Spirit competition (IWSC). As newcomers to the industry, this is the first time we’ve entered any wine competitions and are simply elated with the results!
DWWA prides itself on being the world’s largest and most influential wine competition and is judged by top wine experts from around the globe. It is highly respected within the wine industry, as is the IWSC, which is the oldest wine competition, celebrating its 50th anniversary earlier this year.
This is what the IWSC judges had to say about our 2013 Classic Cuvée:
“Complex nose, citrus and red fruits, roast nuts and baking bread. Plenty of depth, acidity well integrated. This is a pretty wine, with attractive development and richness.”
Our 2013 Classic Cuvée is a harmonious blend of 51% Chardonnay, 29% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier. After careful selection, the grapes are whole-bunch pressed and partially fermented in the finest French oak casks. Lees ageing for a minimum of 36 months gives this wine the additional complexity, richness and depth that we are seeking. We only produced a limited amount of our debut release, which is available to buy now and is the perfect companion for special occasions and time spent with friends.
