Our Classic Cuvée has triumphed in the UK wine competitions!
We were thrilled to recently discover that our Classic Cuvée 2013 had won not one, but two silver medals in prestigious UK wine competitions. Our flagship wine received 92 points and a silver medal in both the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) and International Wine and Spirit competition (IWSC). As newcomers to the industry, this is the first time we’ve entered any wine competitions and are elated with the results!
DWWA prides itself on being the world’s largest and most influential wine competition, judged by top wine experts from around the globe. It is highly respected within the wine industry, as is the IWSC, which is the oldest wine competition, celebrating its 50th anniversary earlier this year.
This is what the IWSC judges had to say about our Classic Cuvée 2013:
“Complex nose, citrus and red fruits, roast nuts and baking bread. Plenty of depth, acidity well integrated. This is a pretty wine, with attractive development and richness.”
The Classic Cuvée 2013 is a blend of 51% Chardonnay, 29% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier. Produced by the traditional method, the wine spends a minimum of 36 months ageing on lees, followed by a further 12 months in bottle before release. We produced a limited amount of this wine and it is drinking beautifully now.
