The beauty is in the detail
We are super excited to unveil the latest addition to our sparkling wine portfolio – 2015 Blanc de Noirs, which is now available to buy through our online shop. It is made exclusively from handpicked Pinot Noir grapes grown at our Roman Villa vineyard in West Sussex. The wine was partially fermented in the finest French oak casks followed by a generous lees-ageing for a minimum of four years in bottle.
For the label design, we joined forces with talented illustrator, Jo Beal to create something quite special that we felt reflected the quality of the wine in the bottle. We had one simple goal in mind – to showcase the wonderful characteristics of our picturesque Sussex vineyards, which Jo has captured perfectly in her intricate hand drawings.
If you look closely, you’ll see layers of detail including grapevines, wildflowers and the iconic Tillington church that sits proudly in the distance from our Roebuck vineyard. We are also hugely grateful to Resolution Design and Royston labels who played a crucial part in this design project, guiding us on pantone colours, hot foiling and the final embellishments which have enriched the overall ‘look and feel’ of the label.
Our 2015 Blanc de Noirs is a rich, yet beautifully balanced wine with delicate bubbles and a silky texture. Notes of baked apples are layered with hints of toasted almonds leading onto a long-lingering finish. Later in the year, we will also be releasing a very limited number of our 2015 Blanc de Noirs magnums and so keep an eye out for these as they are perfect for sharing with loved ones.
