To mark the release of our 2017 Classic Cuvée and in celebration of English Wine Week, we will be launching a Roebuck pop-up in Selfridges, Oxford Street.
London’s iconic department store, Selfridges will see Roebuck Estates vintage sparkling wines proudly displayed in their Wine Shop on the lower ground floor from Monday, 12th June until Sunday, 2nd July.
Our beautifully dressed retail display will take shoppers on a journey, telling the story of how we craft our estate-grown fruit into award-winning vintage sparkling wines. Our team of Roebuck ambassadors will be on hand for in-store sampling on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the pop-up period giving Selfridges’ customers the opportunity to taste our new 2017 Classic Cuvée, elegant 2017 Rosé de Noirs and indulgent 2015 Blanc de Noirs.
The 2017 growing season will be remembered fondly for its wonderfully elegant sparkling wines with incredible depth of flavour and finesse. The 2017 growing season started well in the spring with an early budburst followed by dry, sunny weather in May and June. The vines basked in a long, relatively warm ripening period throughout the summer and autumn months and picking commenced at the start of October. The fruit benefited from a longer than normal hang time on the vine resulting in an excellent quality harvest of perfectly ripe grapes with high sugars and beautifully balanced acids.
