Defined by time and careful bottle ageing, Rare Expressions No.96 reveals a deeper, more evolved expression of our style.
Deep golden in colour, this wine is rich yet beautifully balanced, with notes of baked apples, honey and a biscuity richness layered with hints of toasted walnuts and candied citrus peel.

100% handpicked in September/October.

Whole bunch pressed and fermented in a
mix of stainless steel and Burgundian oak.

FROM VINEYARD TO VINTAGE
Budburst was earlier than normal and the weather stayed warm and dry through to the end of June allowing a very even flowering. Some welcome rain arrived in August and it became increasingly clear that we had a large harvest on our hands. Picking started towards the end of September and ran into October with large yields of quality fruit sent to press.
Our Rare Expressions No.96 was grown and harvested at our Roman Villa vineyard delivering a taste experience that is truly unparalleled.
